The home was found to be inexplicably unstinting in incongruity. Why juxtapose beautiful wooden ceiling beams with engineered vinyl flooring? Why is there granite in all of the bathrooms but not in the kitchen? Why design a kitchen for that matter, and dining room, for show instead of utility, defying all conceivable function save vacuousness? No self-respecting foodie, or would-be cook, or aspiring chef could or would even play in that wasted space – sub-class appliances not even worthy of mention. Financial explanation aside, why fiber cement instead of cedar? When inconsistencies so abound, one finds it easy, if not imperative, to doubt nearly everything. Why the graveled areas and the strange cube, large enough to conceal a baby elephant, to the side of the fireplace, so evident from the upper level? Why purchase such a contrivance?
