Gothic or Baroque?

Fortresses are not normally built as beautifully as this fastness of refinement and elegance. The attention is to an irrefutable balance of form and function. There is no tautological indulgence in this bastion of a home; no redundant element, no gratuitous detail. Minus the ostentation, an aura of the palatial prevails. One’s gaze is cast upwards, outwards, unrestrained, as if in reverential reverie.

Gothic? Or Baroque? Pointed arches, ribbed roofs, large windows, and uniquely adorned exterior? Or ovals and circles, heightening sensuality and spirituality, abundant with convolutions of intricacy?

Rejoice in the splendour.
